About GirlGroupInProgress

GirlGroupInProgress is an upcoming project based in the areas around Washington, DC. The main goal is to create a group of female/feminine labeled people who share the passion for music and the dedication to be an artist. We are looking for a group of people who are determined and excited to start this journey with us. From learning to work as a team to producing our own music and creating our own choreographies, We hope to work towards releasing original music, have lots of fun, and one day end up on the big screens.

The idea of GirlGroupInProgress began from the idea that the music industry is difficult and hard to break into, especially for someone who feels lost on where to start. We want to give opportunities to feminine labeled people to start a possible career in the music industry. So rather than taking the corporate route, we wanted to go independent and create our own group, and release great music as a group, along with supporting the members in solo ventures if desired. Eventually, the goal is to bring GirlGroupInProgress and Its members to a level they would have never dreamed of in the music world.

Is This For You?

Before auditioning, you should ask yourself the following questions:

Would you ever persue music as a career?

We are looking for dedicated individuals who share the same passion for music, and not only as a hobby. Do you see youself in this group in the long term? If the answer is no, auditioning might not be the best option for you.

Do you have any other commitments?

Our group members will spend a considerable amount of time practicing and performing. Other commitments are fine, especially if necessary (Ex. A Job, Etc.), but Make sure you can dedicate enough time for the group before auditioning.

Can you leave judgement aside?

Our group will consist of a diverse group of individuals, with varying levels of experience. Being an open-minded person and a good team player is important. We are looking to create a supportive environment for everyone to grow and develop, regardless of their background.

Are you able to meet up?

In order to be able to practice and perform together, we need to be able to meet up in person at least once a month.

Are you willing to improve?

The members of the group will receive weekly tasks designed to improve their skills based on their position in the group. This requires willingness to both work hard on your own, and to work with the other members.

Feel free to contact us if you have any questions about the requirements, or the group.
